The founder, Mr. Tirathdas Jethanand, believed that the most vital element was for people to have trust and confidence in his Store. It is this philosophy that has propelled Globe Silk Store from a modest beginning into one of the most popular stores in Malaysia. In 1947 it moved to Kuala Lumpur and expanded its operation by opening an outlet in Kuantan. To meet the needs of demanding customers, Globe Silk Store introduced its in house private label, ‘DON’ in 1951 covering a wide range of merchandise.
